Painfree® offers a complete range of numbing products for tattoos, permanent makeup, piercings and laser treatments. Here we explain how each product works and how to use them correctly for maximum effect.
General Instructions for Painfree Cream
Apply the cream
Apply a thick layer of Painfree cream to the desired area 45–90 minutes before treatment.
Cover with plastic
Cover the area with cling film to increase absorption and effect.
Remove and wipe off
Remove the plastic film and wipe off excess cream just before your session begins.
Enjoy pain-free session
The cream provides full numbing for the entire duration of the treatment.
Painfree Cream 10g
Painfree Cream 10g contains 11% lidocaine in a water-based formula that penetrates deep into the skin, blocking nerve signals in the treated area.
Directions: Clean the skin thoroughly and apply a thick layer (approx. 1-2 mm). Cover with cling film and leave for 45–90 minutes. Remove just before treatment begins. Duration: up to 3 hours.
Ideal for: Smaller tattoos, piercings, cosmetic procedures and trying the product for the first time.
Painfree Cream 30g
Painfree Cream 30g is our most popular product with the same effective 11% lidocaine formula, but in a size suitable for larger areas.
Directions: Apply a thick layer to clean skin 45–90 minutes before treatment. Cover with cling film for optimal absorption. The water-based formula ensures tattoo ink sets optimally.
Duration: 3-5 hours depending on skin type and location. Ideal for: Medium and large tattoos, permanent makeup, laser treatments. Recommended by over 1,000 professional tattoo artists.
Painfree Extreme 30g
Painfree Extreme contains 14.5% lidocaine and is the strongest numbing cream in the range with a highly concentrated formula of active ingredients providing deeper and longer-lasting numbing.
Directions: Same procedure as standard Painfree Cream – apply thick layer, cover with cling film, wait 45–90 minutes. The Extreme formula penetrates deeper into the skin layers.
Duration: Up to 6 hours. Ideal for: Long tattoo sessions (4+ hours), painful areas like ribs, knees, elbows, hands and feet, and intensive laser treatments.
Painfree Spray 10%
Painfree Spray contains 10% lidocaine and is developed specifically for topical anaesthesia on open skin during treatment. Unlike the cream, the spray works on already open skin.
Directions: Spray directly on the area being worked on during the tattoo session. Allow 1-2 minutes to take effect, wipe clean, and continue treatment. Repeat as needed.
Contents: 30 ml. Ideal for: Supplementing Painfree Cream during long sessions when initial numbing starts to fade. Many tattoo artists use the cream as preparation and the spray during the session.
Painfree Gel 7%
Painfree Gel 7% contains 5% lidocaine and 2% tetracaine – a combination that makes the gel particularly effective for cosmetic treatments. Designed for use on open skin.
Directions: Apply Painfree Gel to the desired area. Allow a few minutes for the adrenaline to shrink blood vessels. Clean the area and proceed with your procedure. Repeat as needed.
Ideal for: Permanent makeup (brows, eyeliner, lips), microblading, and other cosmetic procedures. Favourite among makeup artists due to precise application and effective numbing.
